Houston Youngman is a self-published composer and arranger in the North Texas area. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Music Performance from the University of North Texas and learned from many renown percussion educators such as Paul Rennick, Christopher Deane, and Mark Ford. During his college career, Houston marched with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, placed 1st with the University of North Texas quad ensemble at the 2019 Percussive Arts Society International Convention, and taught as a front ensemble and quad technician at award winning high school drum lines.
Houston’s diverse experience reflects his desire to be a versatile and malleable musician who can communicate fluently as a music educator, performer, and composer. He began composing at age 12 as a hobby and began self-published works as a teenager. Since then, Houston’s lure for music composition has transformed from a hobby into a career as he continually works to strengthen his knowledge and ability. He strives for quality in everything he does and strongly believes that anyone who invests in his work deserves the best experience possible. He houses his works on his website, which serves as a hub for his music and his collaboration with others.
